Attention New York: The Macy’s Thanksgiving parade is ready to take on the streets.

It’s that time of the year when the holiday spirit starts to fill the streets and households; it’s of course, time for Thanksgiving. No one does this celebration better than Macy’s and their Thanksgiving Day parade.Whether you want to spend some family quality time or just kick off the holiday season like a real New Yorker (right before football becomes the center of the universe for most Americans), you should take on the streets of Manhattan to witness this breathtaking display of fun and friendliness. Even when the parade is broadcasted live nation-wide and the idea of staying in your PJ’s and slippers the whole day may seem tooooo tempting, the parade will be a great activity for your family because most of the city’s people will be away visiting relatives… or in a precocious tryptophan coma from all the holiday eating :)

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, on its 84th edition will be held at three NY spots from which you will be able to see part of the action. The first part of the show will take place alongside Central Park West and will start at 9AM. Since the early bird Turkey gets the warm, TEM highly advises you get there by 7AM to get a good spot. The parade will continue on through Time Warner Center, to then reach the final stage on the 6th (between Central Park South and the 38th). The public will have access to a total of 2.5 miles of parade viewing and excitement experiencing.

The parade will be host to its regular attractions: from giant cartoon-inspired balloons to floats, marching bands, clowns and performance groups (aka Cheerleaders. Can I get an “AWE-SOME!”?). The stars will also be taking center stage: Kellie Pickler, Ariana Grande, Austin Mahone, Cher Lloyd, Gavin DeGraw, Florida Georgia Line, Fall Out Boy, Megan Hilty from TV show “Smash” and Fifth Harmony among others. Can this get any better? Actually, it can. Santa Clause will be making his first appearance of the year (!!!)…after all….tis the season to be jolly.

Once you’ve got everything set for your thanksgiving dinner, make sure to drop by the show: you will be in for a treat. The City is YOURS, go ahead and enjoy the OffLife.

So, what do you think ?
