You and your family can now play around at the MoMa…for free!!!
Museums are usually known for their strict rules: “please don’t touch,” “please don’t talk in a loud voice,” “please don’t cross the line in front of the artwork.” The Museum of Modern Art is no exception. However, for the next couple of months, you and your kids are invited to touch, move, and discover at the MoMA’s Sound Studio and Movement Lab. These interactive spaces, located at the Education building (4, West 54th street), are open to adults and children of all ages for free –you don’t even need to buy a Museum ticket! With the help of facilitators, you are welcome to explore sound and movement in art: you can make a mobile, create a stop-motion animation, play a vinyl record through bike pedaling, and even tweet with a Morse code machine as only keyboard. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity for a hands-on engaging and fun artistic experimentation for the whole family!
